Some of my best high school memories are of Mrs. Owen's English class during my junior and senior years. She was one of the best teachers I ever had and my desire to teach English and my deep love of literature are a result of her enthusiasm, love and dedication. Mrs. Owen had a way of making class interesting, challenging us to think and think "outside the box". Years later I found myself using those same techniques in my classroom. Every time I saw her and the last few years, it seemed as if no time had passed. She was just as loving, friendly and enjoyable as ever. I will never forget her and the things she taught me. Be proud of your mother and grandmother. Know that she was exceptional and left a lasting mark on the lives of many people. God bless you.

To the families and loved ones of Mrs Owen, who we know will be dearly missed. Almighty God promised at revelation 21:4 that he will wipe away all our tears. And death, pain, and sorrow will be no more. So,you can take great comfort in drawing close to God in prayer. And he will help sustain and support your families to endure in these difficult times and months to follow. My deepest condolences to all of your loved ones.

I first met her when she taught me English at Clinton High School...She was the best teacher. I loved her and always enjoyed catching up when Roseboro Methodist Church had their annual sale. She was a special lady who will be missed. I will not be attending the services because of a previous obligation, but my heart will be there.. Sue Hatch Smith
