Mr. Earl Blackman Crumpler,Sr. 80 passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Bethesda Healthcare in Eastover.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, officiating will be Rev. Mike Elliott. Burial will follow at Autry-McAlpin Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Muncy Blackman Crumpler and Pearl Hudson Crumpler; grandson, Jonathan Crumpler and brothers, Charles W. Crumpler and Richard D. Crumpler.
He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his son, Earl "Little Earl" Blackman Crumpler, Jr. & wife, Mary Ann; granddaughter, Bonnie Crumpler; great grandchildren, Holden, Hayden and Allie; sisters, Hazel Crumpler McMillan and Joyce Crump; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at the funeral home and at other times at 910 Wade Stedman Road, Stedman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 7536 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.

Prayers for your family. My late Husband Jesse thought a lot of Earl and always saw him at his brother Richards garage and they shared a lot of laughs there. May your memories give you comfort and peace.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved. May the God of all comfort be with you as you endure this difficult time. Death at any age can be very painful for us but God's word reassures us at Isaiah 41:10 that he is with us holding our right hand and he will fortify us. I hope that you also find peace,hope and joy in knowing that soon there will be a resurrection(Acts24;15) and we will see our loved ones again.

Many of my family members have fond memories of Mr. Earl as our families down the line have been friends w/the Crumpler family for many, many years. I am very sorry about his death but thankful he is now in a better place w/the Lord & other wonderful family members who we still miss. And......he is pain free. Love & prayers for all the family.
