Obituary

CLINTON

Mr. Carl Vander Brock, 77 of 312 A. Sampson Street, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his home.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, July 20, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, with Reverend Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

Born December 5, 1939 in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Vander and Lacy Faircloth Brock. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles “Jimmy” Brock, and Elmer “Tennie” Brock. He retired from Civil Service and then worked for Atlantic Coil Processing of Clinton.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peggy Boyette Brock; daughter, Kim Baker and husband John of Autryville; sister, Virginia Watson and husband Edward of Roseboro; brother, Ralph Brock of the Beaver Dam Community, Roseboro; grandchildren, John “J” Baker, III of Autryville, Jordyn Baker of Portland, Oregon; great grandchild, Sofia Gracelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 pm Thursday prior to the service, and other times at the home.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to 3HC of Clinton for their outstanding care and service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 3HC, 1023 Beaman Street, Clinton, NC 28328; or to Bethany P.F.W.B. Church, 1068 Rackley Road, Clinton, NC 28328.
